Visiting Hours

Visiting hours are from 10am – 8pm.

Family and friends are welcome to visit the Maternity Ward during designated visiting hours and are asked to be considerate to new mothers and babies.

Partners are welcome to visit at any time. We understand what a special time in your life this is and we want to make you as welcome and comfortable as possible.

We offer double beds in 60 per cent of our rooms. Comfortable recliners are available in single rooms should partners wish to spend the night.

Parking

The best place to park when visiting the maternity ward is Car Park P12 (enter via Shenton Avenue).

Seven days of free parking is included for private maternity patients who are admitted for the birth of their baby. (P12 Carpark)

There are two designated private birth suite parking bays in car park P12 A, which is the closest car park to the main entrance of Joondalup Private Hospital. These short term parking bays are outlined in pink paint and are specifically for patients to attend the birth suite.

Maternity Emergency Drop Off

There are two emergency bays out the front of the private hospital where you can park and then take the lift to the first floor maternity ward. After hours please use the intercom located at the doors to contact ward staff, they will come down to collect you.

To maintain security the maternity ward is locked at all times. Access can be requested via the intercom located at the ward entry doors.

Amenities

• An ATM that accepts all cards is located in the foyer of the main public hospital.
• Pause Cafe is located on-site, adjacent to the Pharmacy in the Specialist Medical Centre (West). The cafe offers delicious beverages, cakes, quiches and a variety of gourmet rolls, baguettes and light meals.
• An on-site florist provides a fantastic selection of flowers, gifts, cards and balloons.
• An on-site Pharmacy provides a full range of clinical pharmacology services as well as regular pharmaceutical items.
